93rd Annual Women's Metro Open - 2020

 

All amateur women and junior girl golfers are invited to play in the 1-Day FUNdraiser for The First Tee of Michiana and or the 3-Day Women’s or 2-Day Jr. Girl’s Stroke Play Tournament with gross, net senior and junior awards.

RULES USGA and all Local Rules apply. Winter Rules apply to the Tournament which allows contestants to roll their ball with their club or lift and place the ball in your own fairway. In either situation, the ball shall not be moved more than 6" from its original spot and cannot be moved closer to the hole. GPS systems may be used. You may have a caddy. All amateur women and junior girl golfers (13 to 17 years old as of July 8th) may play in this tournament.

1-Day FUNdraiser for The First Tee of Michiana 

Thursday, July 9, 2020 - Erskine Park Golf Course

3-Day Women’s Stroke Play Division (all ages 16+)*

Monday - July 6 (Elbel), Tuesday - July 7 (Elbel)  and Thursday – July 9th (Erskine)

2-Day Jr. Girl’s Stroke Play Division (13-17 years old) *

Tuesday - July 7 (Elbel) & Thursday - July 9th (Erskine)

*(ages 16 and 17 must declare either Jr. Girl’s or Women’s Division) 

 WOMEN'S DIVISION-  

First day pairings are based upon given handicap numbers. Contestants will be paired on the second day within their flight based upon their scores. On the final day participate in the fundraiser and prizes for an extra $10 – You and your Mystery Partner’s scores will be adjusted for Best Ball for gross and net prizes. 

· Open to all handicaps- Need a handicap please contact Dave Firestone at Erskine 291-3216 or use www.thegrint.com 

· Monetary Prizes shall be awarded to the 2 low gross and 2 low net contestants in each flight

· Additional Traveling Trophies and monetary prizes- No contestant may win both the low gross and the low net 

· Girls who wish to maintain their eligibility for high school or college teams will receive a trophy

· Senior entrants will be eligible for flight prizes, senior prizes and traveling trophies.

 JUNIOR GIRL'S DIVISION-  

On the final day also participate in the fundraiser and prizes for an extra $10 – You and your Mystery Partner’s scores will be adjusted for Best Ball for gross and net prizes. 

· Any girl golfer 13-17 years old as of July 8th may compete in the Junior Division

· Junior girls ages 16 & 17 may choose to play in either the Junior Division or either Women's Divisions

· Please give average score- not circle 10 scores for 1st day pairings.

FUNdraiser-

For any woman or junior girl golfer: Two-Person Mystery Partner Best Ball

-Tee times start at 8am and will be given by phone 2 days prior. We plan to tee off in threesomes and you may make up your own threesome.

-A fun day of golf supporting kids! The First Tee is a youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to kids and teens. Through after school and in-school programs we help shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by reinforcing values like integrity, respect, and perseverance through the game of golf. And its making a difference!
